Introduction
We have in our previous article explained about the procedure and steps for PF registration. Since documents play a significant role in the process we decided to write an article solely about the documents required for PF registration.
It is really crucial for all to understand that providing one document incorrectly can lead to rejection. Hence if you are going for PF registration in India then please go through this article to know the documents required.
Documents required for PF registration
- The applicant should have a PAN in the name of the establishment/proprietor for which he/she is applying. Only in the case of the proprietor, PAN of the owner can be used. Please note that the name entered should be exactly as furnished to the income tax department.
- Address proof – The employer has to furnish documents for the address entered as business premises. The following can be used as address proof
- Any license/certificate/number issued by any government authority
- Copy of water connection in the name of establishment
- Copy of bank statement/Passbook
- Copy of postpaid telephone bill of the company
- Proof of date of setup is to be provided. Date of setup is the one when the establishment started. The following can be used
- First sales invoice
- Incorporation certificate
- Commencement of business certificate issued by registrar
- License issued by health authority
- Permission/approval granted by appropriate government.
- Bank details – cancelled cheque of a copy of Passbook is to be attached with the account number and IFSC code.
- If you are opting for a voluntary registration then you must provide consent letter of the same
- If the establishment is a factory then employer has to provide factory details along with manager details. Necessary documents have to be attached to this field.
- MOA/AOA of the company has to be attached.
- In case of partnership the deed of partnership
- Declaration form of each employee along with their 2 passport size photographs.
- Copy of current month bank statement.
- A copy of registration certificate issued by the registrar in the case of societies registered under society’s registration Act.
