HOW TO GET GST PROVISIONAL ID AND PASSWORD FOR GST ENROLLMENT / REGISTRATION

Introduction

GST registration has already started in October for some states and is in full swing for the already registered dealers under different statutes including Excise, VAT, Service Tax.

The basic aim of this write-up is to let you know how to dig out the Provisional ID and Password for GST migration of already registered dealers. Let us discuss for some states registered dealers, how they dig out their Provisional ID and Password:

• For DVAT Taxpayers (Registered Dealers under Delhi VAT)
  • You need to login to DVAT Portal and
  • Once login you will see the GST Dealers’ credentials where your GST Provisional ID and Passwords are written.

• For UPVAT Taxpayers (Registered Dealers of Uttar Pradesh)
  • You need to login to UPVAT Comtax portal
  • After Login, Make sure that POP UP has been enabled for this site in your Browser.
  • Once Pop-up has been enabled, there is Window opens with a link of GST Provisional ID and Password.
  • After Clicking the link, the Letter has been downloaded which contains the GST Provisional ID and Password.
     
• For HPVAT Taxpayers (Registered Dealers of Himachal Pradesh)
  • You need to login to HPTAX portal
  • After Login, Make sure that POP UP has been enabled for this site in your Browser.
  • Once Pop-up has been enabled, a Window opens which contains your GST Provisional ID and Password.

• For Punjab VAT Taxpayers (Registered Dealers of Punjab)
  • You need to login to PETAX portal
  • Provisional Login Ids and Passwords will be available in the offices of Assistant Excise and Taxation Commissioners. Dealers can collect the sealed envelopes containing provisional login ids and passwords from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm from the respective ward in-charges.
  • The provisional login ids and passwords can be collected by the dealer himself or any of his legal representatives on furnishing of authorization letter (Download Link at the end of this article).
     
• For Karnataka VAT Taxpayers (Registered Dealers of Karnataka)
  • You need to login to CTAX portal
  • Click on E-suvega to login
  • Enter the login Id and Password.
  • After Login, Make sure that POP UP has been enabled for this site in your Browser.
  • Once Pop-up has been enabled, a Window opens which contains your GST Provisional ID and Password.
     
• For Tamil Nadu VAT Taxpayers (Registered Dealers of Tamil Nadu)
  • You need to login to CTD portal
  • Enter the login Id and Password.
  • After Login, a Pop-up opened, that Window contains your GST Provisional ID and Password.
     
• For Kerala VAT Taxpayers (Registered Dealers of Kerala)
  • You need to login to Kerala Taxes Portal.
  • Enter the login Id and Password.
  • After Login, a Pop-up opened, that Window contains your GST Provisional ID and Password.
