Now start editing your GST Registration Details (GST REG 14) – Know how to amend GST Registration details online - For migration and new registration

 

Introduction

Many taxpayers were facing problem due to not able to change the GST registration details. Some want to change and others want to correct but since the functionality was not there so they were not able to do anything on online GST portal.

Now the functionality to amend the GST registration details is on, the taxpayers can easily change/amend their details online after logging into the system.

Here is the procedure to amend the GST registration details online:

 

#Step 1 – Log in into gst.gov.in with your Login ID and passwords

The first step to change your GST registration details is to login into the gst.gov.in using your login credentials. If you have applied for your new GST registration, then your credential shall be sent online through email.

But if you migrated to GST, then your login ID and password is maybe with your CA or lawyer.

 

#Step 2 – Go to Registration window and click on application to amend registration detail (GST REG 14)

After login into your account, take your cursor to registration tab and click on the application to amend the GST registration details.

 

#Step 3 – Change the Noncore details (Core details not allowed yet)

After clicking on the aforesaid link, you can change the details. You can change everything except the core details like principal place of business, additional place of business and name.

 

#Step 4 – Submit the application and done

Once you are done with the changes, then you can just sign the application and submit. After submission, the application shall be accepted without approval and changes shall be accepted instantly.
